and today I was instructed by her to only address her as Mom

6 Months...plus 9 days

I'm a little late with this due to vacation.

Right now William loves:

yelling (not crying, just noise to get attention)

being held

smiling

his bumbo (which he learned to pop himself out of)

rolling everywhere

waving

his siblings

his daddy

his fingers

his pacifier

pulling hair

smacking whatever I am trying to drink when I am holding him

Right now William does not love:

taking long naps

sleeping for more than three hours at a time at night

being put down when he is the least bit tired or hungry

getting dressed

his swing

The annual trip to Snowmass, CO continues. I think Grandma said they have been coming here for 35 years. We started off the week at the Aspen Branch. It is always fun and interesting to go there. Then to the Weinerstube for lunch. Monday the kids started ski school, this is Parker's first year. His first day was a bit scary for him, but he caught on great his second day and moved up a couple of levels. Kate is loving it as usual and Matt is having a blast. Will and I are in the condo with Grandma during the days and I am glad to have this time with her. With nursing Will and my arthritis acting up, I decided not to try to ski this year. Hopefully I will be able to next year. Every day after skiing everyone hits the hot tub and swimming pool. Will had his first dip in the pool and seemed to like it. He didn't like it when Matt tried to take him in the hot tub. Last night was El Cantina for dinner, which was great. Skiing, swimming, family and eating are what this trip is about. It's the best.

Cousins

One of the great things about having sisters is that they have provided cousins for my kids. There are so many great things about sisters, it's hard it imagine not having them. For Chelsea's shower last night, Jen (with two of her girls, Allie and Cami), Noelle and Bridget all came to town. Bridget came the day before and brought Paige and Claire with her. Maggie and Paige had a blast playing together and Will and Claire mostly just stared at one another, except for when Will was trying to eat her hand.

Showered

Chelsea's baby shower was last night and it turned out great. As a surprise for Chelsea, all the Cahow girl's were in attendance. (why didn't I get a picture of that?) We missed our mom, but we had a great time.
